KASE defines exchange repo market leaders of May and initial 5 mths of 2008
/KASE, June 4, 08/ - Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) defined leaders of the
exchange repo market leaders of May 2008.

The table below provides data on the 10 most active repo market operators (all
companies' headquarters are located in Almaty). The position of each trade
participant was expressed in settlement currency - tenge. 48.0 % of the
exchange market sector falls on to the stake of the "active ten".

Bank CenterCredit JSC, OCIMPF ZHETYSU JSC and Asia Broker Services JSC,
have become the newcomers of the "active ten" in relation to April 2008 having
replaced:

- Temirbank JSC (sixth rank in April),

- BCC Invest JSC (eighth in April);

- Centras Securities JSC (tenth in April).

Totally, 70 companies except for the National Bank concluded repo deals in
May 2008.

The correspondent table specifies the most active repo market operators in
initial 5 months of 2008. 74 companies except for the National Bank concluded
deals during this period. The "active ten" concluded deals for 36.4 % of the
repo market turnover.

JSC; BCC Invest JSC - BCC Invest JSC (Subsidiary of Bank CenterCredit JSC);
Temirbank JSC - Subsidiary of Bank TuranAlem JSC - Temirbank JSC.

Trades aggregate gross-turnover has been used in calculations (the sum of
purchased and sold instruments on repo opening and closing transactions). At
that, all repo deals have been accounted for regardless of the sector (automatic
repo and nego deals method) and the repo subject (government or corporate
securities).

KASE draws attention for the ranking of exchange repo market operators,
specified in the tables, to have been compiled according to the KASE internal
document Methodology of Calculation of Activity Indicators of Members of
Kazakhstan Stock Exchange Inc. (Methodology) effective January 1, 2008.
