KASE determines exchange repo market leaders of June and initial 6 months of 2008
/KASE, July 3, 08/ - Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) determined leaders of
exchange repo market market for June 2008.

The table below specifies 10 most active operators of repo market (headquarters
of all companies are located in Almaty). The position of each trade participant
has been expressed in settlement currency - tenge. In June the stake of the
"active ten" constituted for 50.9 % of the turnover of this exchange market
sector.

ATFBank JSC and Eurasian Bank JSC have become newcomers of the "active
ten", having replaced:

- Kazpost JSC (fifth in May),

- Asyl Invest JSC (tenth in May).

Totally, 70 companies, except for the National Bank, concluded repo deals in
June 2008.

The table below indicates the most active operators of repo market for initial 6
months of 2008. 74 companies, except for the National Bank of the Republic of
Kazakhstan, concluded deals during this period. The stake of the "active ten"
constituted for 37.5 % of the repo market turnover.

TuranAlem Securities - Subsidiary of Bank TuranAlem JSC - TuranAlem Securities
JSC; BCC Invest JSC - Subsidiary of Bank CenterCredit JSC - BCC Invest;
Temirbank SC - Subsidiary of Bank TuranAlem JSC - Temirbank JSC.

Aggregate gross-turnover of trades (sum of purchased and sold instruments on
repo opening and closing transactions) has been used in calculations. At that,
all repo deals regardless of the sector (automatic repo or nego deals method)
and repo subjects (government and corporate securities) have been taken into
account.

KASE draws attention that the exchange repo market operators have been
ranked, as in the tables, according to the KASE internal document "Methodology
of Calculation of Activity Indicators of Members of Kazakhstan Stock
Exchange Inc." (Methodology), effective January 1, 2008
