/IRBIS, October 25, 2011/ - Republic of Kazakhstan Agency of Statistics presented the results of one-time survey on the distribution of employees by size of gross wages and salaries in the Republic of Kazakhstan, which is held once in two years. Data are collected for all enterprises and organizations, without regard to small businesses engaged in entrepreneurial activities. The survey covers workers who worked full month of June. The salary includes all amounts accrued to employees for the month of June, including the amounts included in the payroll, as related to time spent and accrued to the employee for free time during which his wage remains, regardless of whether it is actually paid or not. Taxes and other obligatory payments of accrued wages are not excluded. It is reported that the number of employees who have worked during all June 2011, amounted to 2,870.3 thousand people. Among these men are 1,489.1 thousand (51.9%), 1,381.2 thousand women (48.1%). Grouping the number of employees was carried out taking into account the size of the actual payroll. It is noted that the average monthly salary from 15,001 to 45,000 tenge was received by 34.4% of employees, from 45,001 to 75,000 KZT - 31.1%, from 75 001 to 105,000 KZT - 16.2%, from 105,001 to 240,000 - 14.8%, from 240,001 and above - 3.5%. Most of the workers of the republic have average monthly salary with amount in the ranges from 15,001 to 75,000 tenge. The average monthly salary from 15,001 to 45,000 tenge to the North-Kazakhstan region received 49.6% of employees, and in Astana - 18.9%. The highest proportion of workers with level monthly salary of 240,001 and above is awarded in Mangistau (13.8%) and Atyrau (13.3%) regions. In the economic activities the largest share of workers with the level of monthly salary from 15,001 to 45,000 tenge was recorded in the field of agriculture, forestry and fisheries (68.7%), from 240,001 tenge and above - in financial and insurance activities (15.9%). According to a survey in June 2011, the median of the distribution of employees by salary (50% of employees have a salary less than this value and 50% of workers - more) was 50,443 tenge. Average salary for the month of June 2011 exceeded the median wage by 42.9%. In June 2011 the share of the wage fund 50% of the lowest paid workers (1-5 decile group) in the general fund gross wages and salaries amounted to 14.9% and 50% of best paid workers (6-10 decile group) 85.1% of the fund. Ratio of the average wage paid by the richest 10% of employees and average wages 10% of the lowest paid workers in the country in 2011 amounted to 7.9 times. The greatest gap in wage levels was observed in Almaty and was 19.1 times, and the lowest in Akmola - 3.6 times.
