/KASE, May 12, 2025/ – Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC (KASE ticker – BRKZ) has announced the following: quote The Development Bank of Kazakhstan JSC (hereinafter referred to as the Bank, DBK, a subsidiary of of "Baiterek" National Managing Holding JSC) and the project company Taiqonyr Qyshqyl Zauyty LLP have entered into an agreement to open a credit line for the implementation of an investment project for the construction of a sulfuric acid plant with a capacity of 800 thousand tons per year in the village of Taykonyr, Turkestan region. The total cost of the project is 113 billion tenge, where the full–fledged technology partner is the Italian company Ballestra, a licensor and supplier of full- cycle technologies, equipment and engineering services. The plant will be located near uranium mines in the village of Taykonyr in the Sozak district of the Turkestan region, which will ensure efficient logistics of the key reagent, sulfuric acid, necessary for the underground well leaching technology used in uranium mining.
