Review of KASE equity market in May 2025

/KASE, June 11, 2025/ – Kazakhstan Stock Exchange (KASE) presents a brief review of the equity market based on the results of May 2025. As of the end of May 2025, shares of 96 names of 81 issuers were on KASE trading lists, of which shares of two names of two issuers were admitted to trading in the "Unlisted securities" sector. The average daily trading volume amounted to 1.3 bn tenge, the average daily number of transactions was 9,249, the average volume of one transaction was 135.7 thousand tenge. The primary market volume is estimated at 49.3 mln tenge. In May 2025, Teniz Capital Investment Banking JSC issued 5,800 common shares at a price of 8,500.00 tenge per share for a total of 49.3 mln tenge. The entire volume was purchased by individuals. In the secondary market, the trading volume in May amounted to 23.8 bn tenge, which is 50.6 %, or 24.4 bn tenge, lower than the April figures. In terms of the main categories of investors in the secondary market, the most active are individuals, who accounted for 68.1 % of the gross turnover of stock trading, banks – for 1.5 %, broker-dealer organizations – for 10.2 %, other institutional investors – for 2.4 %, other legal entities – for 17.7 %. The share of non-residents was 7.5 %. KASE Index value fell by 1.1 % in May and by the end of the month amounted to 5,561.46 points. The volume of transactions with index shares in May 2025 amounted to 18.4 bn tenge, which is 0.9 bn tenge lower than the figure for April 2025.
